I live in northern Minnesota and have had this jacket for a week. I did not buy it for a winter coat, but for layering. I have been really happy with it. The size was perfect. Love the cuffs in the sleeve that keeps out drafts and the high, warm neck. I have found that it easily goes over a wool sweater or vest and that the side panels (which do not have insulation) stretch to accommodate that wonderfully. So even wearing it while driving, it doesn't bunch up. The slick surface also makes it easy to wear any jacket or wind breaker over it. I have just been pleasantly surprised at how versatile this jacket is. It won't keep you warm on it's own in a cold climate, but that really isn't it's design. I have been plenty warm on walks of 18 and 20 degrees so far with a vest underneath and windbreaker over. As always, I am a fan of two-way zippers (which this doesn't have), but again, the side panels seem to be forgiving in all ways with bulky clothes or sitting positions where lots of jackets bunch up. The lack of two way zipper is the only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. I can't wait to use it cross-country skiing! So glad I got it.This coat is lightweight and surprisingly warm. It is perfect for 30+ degree days, and light enough to exercise in. Although it claims to be water resistant, it really is not, but again is light enough that it dries quickly. I'm sort of between a small and medium and the medium in this jacket gives me enough room to layer a sweater or sweatshirt underneath, but still does not look boxy if I'm just wearing a t-shirt underneath it. I frequently wear it when commuting to work on my bike in 30-40 degree weather, and it repels the wind successfully and keeps me warm. For what it's worth, I also get a lot of compliments on the color.I purchased the Atoll (blue) and really love the color ... even more so than the picture! The photo shows it as a powder blue but it's really more of a vibrant aqua. I bought this as a lighter layer for skiing. It doesn't have all the pockets you'd normally want for skiing but it definitely does the jobPurchased M and fits as expected.really like this jacket...kinda love but mostly like a lot. I am a size 18 in jeans and a size 14 in upper body. XL fit just about right. I did try both the 2x and 1x and both were WAY to big. Very warm with thermals underneath. Wore it to Colorado this past 2015 Christmas and it was great even at -2 degrees :)I love this coat!..it is plenty warm in our Texas winters with a long sleeve fleece shirt underneath and I love that it's lightweight if I want to use hiking!..it has a high collar which adds warmth and pockets that zip up to hold my phone!.. Its an awesome jacket and great price here!.. I can wear a medium but got a large so I can add a layer or two if I want! I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs..the large is not too big but comfy with a layer underneath. I have long arms and this covers perfectly! The dahlia purple is beautiful!Absolutely love this jacket. I live in northern WI, wore it kayaking in 40 degree rainy weather. I stayed warm and dry. Large zipper pockets to store items including larger sized cell phone. The fit is great for athletic activity, I am 5’1” and weigh 110, bought the xs and it fits nicely. The color is vibrant and fun, I think this will be my favorite jacket I have ever owned.I love this jacket. It fits nicely and is very warm. I love how thin and lightweight it is. It has tight cuffs under the sleeve ends. It helps to keep the cold from going up your sleeves. I would definitely buy this jacket again.I like this coat, but it's not very warm. The material on the sides makes it a little breezy. I need an extra layer, even for Oregon winters.
